27. marca leta 1963 je v Knoxvillu v Tennesseeju na svet privekal eden največjih, če že ne največji režiser zadnjega desetletja in še kaj več, Quentin Jerome Tarantino. Quentin poleg režije podpisuje tudi ogromno drugih produkcij, scenarijev in še česa, med drugim se precejkrat v svojih in drugih filmih pojavi tudi kot igralec. Njegov prvi kratki film je mnogim neznana komedija "My Best Friend's Birthday", kot resnejši začetek njegove kariere pa se upošteva njegov prvi celovečerec "Reservoir Dogs", ki mu je sledil kultni Pulp Fiction, vse ostalo pa je zgodovina... Vendar pa se Quentin od drugih režiserjev in producentov razlikuje še po nečem... po izboru izjemnih muzik, ki nam vedno znova pričarajo trenutke iz njegovih filmov, in ki z eklektičnim izborom večžanrske in navidezno nekompatibilne glasbe, odločno posegajo v teorijo kompatibilne enožanrske godbe in jo celo izrazito presegajo.
