V soboto, 27. septembra, ste vabljeni, da obiščete otok LARA v virtualnem svetu Second Life. Tam se bo od desete ure naprej odvijala virtualna konferenca partnerjev združenja LARA (na RŠ je to uspešno končan jezikovni projekt Lara Lingua). Na otoku LARA si lahko tudi ogledate ostalo gradivo za učenje tujih jezikov, ki so ga proizvedli ostali partnerji projekta LARA. Torej, poletite in se učite!

"Promoting Language Learning" - A Virtual Conference
In celebration of the European Day of Languages on 26th September 2008 the ‘Radio Lara’ Project will be hosting a series of ‘live’ events in Bulgaria, Slovenia, Hungary, Belgium and The UK covering a range of topics linked with the promotion of language learning.
Videos and audio clips from these events will be delivered as part of a Virtual Conference in Second Life on the Radio LARA island from 11.00 (UK time) on 27th September 2008 and will continue to run until 11th October 2008 allowing interested participants to access the conference materials at a time to suit.
On 27th September 2008 between 12.00-15.00 (UK time) we will be holding interactive sessions with project partners across Europe, basic language lessons and ‘live feeds’ from the ‘Place in the Sun’ exhibition at the NEC (National Exhibition Centre) in Birmingham, UK.
Getting Involved:
To register for the conference simply go to the ‘participate’ section and complete the online registration form. The event is completely free of charge. You will also need to create a virtual character called an ‘Avatar’ and create an account in Second Life (see venue for further details and instructions). Further programme details will be sent to you prior to the conference start date.
