Don't ask why, but I 've spend the past week almost completely listening to the brand new and long anticipated Monochrome album, entitled »Ferro«. For a while assumed all but history, the multilingual Germans proved quite the contrary on last Tuesday's performance in a well-packed Klub Gromka. Guess i'm not the right person to review this album, i really don't want to go into any superlatives. Enough over-excitement, and over- just about anything, even though i still refuse to believe i was the only one who spotted Hugh Heffner behind Gromka's bar.
»Ferro« is Monochrome's third album, and i'm glad to mention that nothing much changed in their musical approach over the past six-seven years. To end the ranting, this is a more than suiting soundtrack for these early spring days. Here is Insomnia:

All Monochrome records are released on the Berlin based Transsolar Records, also famous for the neat design all of their releases appear in. A grab in their barrel and you might dig up Tokyo Sex Destruction, Phantom Limbs or Golden, the last one being more or less American Heritage, but then again quite different. And then there's the other jewel to be reckoned with: »These Girls« from Elektrolochmann:

I'm almost finished for tonight, but not before diving into some recent history with ZEGOTA. Unfortunately, the members of this Northern Carolina folk combo seem to have vanished from this globe, the only traces two albums, Movement in the Music, and Namastee plus some encarved memories. The shivers are more difficult to get rid of. More nostalgia yet to come, as i picked this song especially for our more ageing listeners, here is Neil Young's Ohio, reloaded!
