Third part of the interdisciplinary+multimedia procesual serial Expanded Cirkulacija 2: Platform for total art took place at the PixxelPoint festival in Nova Gorica/ Slovenia

Cirkulacija 2 worked at Mostovna Center. It was publicly open from monday 6th december to friday 10th december 2010, from 12.00 to 24.00 - every day (on monday we started a bit late).

In its third condensed form in 2010 the expanded platform Cirkulacija 2 was again testing the gap between the momental and constructed time - the nature and culture - the process and structure - and claiming that every process that has an aim to build up an art structure - is an action of art. The platform as an art work. It seems that art field has a unique potential to suck in all basic areas of human activities - creativities - those that do no have other agendas - transpositions to other structural fields - e.g. economy (the profit game) or politics (the power game).

Exploration of the alternative effective ways of human co-existance is one of such areas - on the other side is of course again the search and creation/ harmonisation of the individual self and the individual reflection of such space of co-existance. Therefore the vast number of new forms of artistic expression that emerge constantly within the contemporary art area. From activism, open-source-code principles, do-it-yourself approaches and other ways of less representional = more direct approaches - the public live artistic events.

So: interactivity, understood as the basic inter-human principle and not as technological and artistic genre. The metaphorics of the symbols should be able to present itself in a much clearer way in an art piece/ art work. An art work might speak more precisely through the mouth of an artist, that created it. The end of mistifications/ the end of idolatry? Therefore the deceision for condensed week long public events with a larga numbner of artists/authors present.

The social structur is defined as participatory, non-hierarchic and - within the individual expressions of the participators - interdisciplinary, or as we prefer to call it: antidisciplinary - so: against the division into disciplines / order. A platform - successfully combined on all levels - becomes an art work, when it provides positive feelings and a longer term memory.

Conjunction = the merging of time and space with the living flash of human presence/ awareness.

- poleg omenjenih bodo za krajši čas gostovali tudi nekateri drugi gostje s samostojnimi ali povezanimi projekti/ there will be some more people jumping in for one day only

Some brief info about Cirkulacija 2 platform week in Nova Gorica:

- the dates: we arrived quite late on monday, 6th december and stayed until saturday, 11th december
- organizers of the festival provided us with 3 hotel rooms for 7 people (2+2+3) in Hotel Siesta in Nova Gorica http://www.hotel-siesta.si/hotel.php - here is google map: http://www.hotel-siesta.si/kje-smo.php
- we rented another flat for two to four persons in Solkan - closer to Mostovna (it was cold, so we decided to rent additional two rooms in the hotel)
- the event took place in a small concert hall of Mostovna (a change from the previous gallery situation - to our benefit) - Mostovna is a cultural center in Solkan ( check the google map )
- there is 10/10 MB internet connection, wireless and all; heating also

- monday (6th december): setting up the platform
- monday (6th december) 23.00 to 24.00: netstreaming to Radio Student (Borut Savski; Huda ura; presentetion of the project; interviews with some of the participants)

What was planned:

- tuesday (7th december) 17.00: Dennis Tan - Presentation of his work (presentation; questions & answers)
- tuesday (7th december) 21.00: Borut Savski: Music is Dead - Long Live the Music (audio-visual concert performance). No public - did not happen.

- wednesday (8th december) 17.00: Petra Kapš - Storytelling on oracles with visual imagery and (self)sound explorations
- wednesday (8th december) 21.00: Elisa Ulian & C_2 friends: From the Clashing of Noises, Sounds and Voices Towards the Breathing of the Earth (vocal / electronics performance)

- thursday (9th december): arrival of additional participants (Neven Korda, Bojan Andjelković, Milan Kristl, Sandi Tasić)
- thursday (9th december) 22.00 : Dennis Tan - concert

- friday (10th december) 22.00: Retro_Rave intro - introduction to Retro_Rave is a performance/ lecture by Bojan Andjelkovic on rave culture as recycling of culture principle topic that he raises
- friday (10th december) 23.00 - etc. : Retro_Rave Event (going into the night…) - a combined performance with visualists & audialists, VJs & DJs… All together plus Milan Kristl (kalimba), Sandi Tasić (Orton) - keyboards, etc.
